James Wesley Ambrose, 82, passed away August 15, 2016. He was the son of the late Doris and Herbert Ambrose. Wesley is also predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Whitfield and brother, Roger Ambrose. He was a member of Eureka Baptist Church.

Wesley is survived by his wife of 62 years, Catherine Ambrose; daughters, Deborah Underwood and Linda Gomer; grandsons, Steven Banton (Amber) and Brian Gomer; great grandchildren, Joshua, Madison, Kelsey, and Austin; and brothers, Hubert Ambrose (Emma) and Gene Ambrose (Jane).

A funeral service will be held Friday August 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434 with Dr. Robert Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery.
