Jackson Oneal Brown, 78, went to be with his Lord on February 9, 2016. He was born in Bertie Co., NC, to the late Lewis E. and Odella Thomas Brown. He was predeceased by his siblings, L. E. Brown, Odell Brown, and Dorothy Baker. He worked with VDOT for 33 years and retired as District Shop Manager. He was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church, and the Men's Sunday School class. Jack had served as the unofficial church greeter, head of ushers, sunday school teacher, and leader of Royal Ambassadors.

Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Delories L. Brown; sons and daughters in law, Stacy Neal Brown and Shara of Moyock, NC, and Sterling Keith Brown and Lisa of Brighton, MI; grandchildren, Jonathan, Ashley, Taylor, and Demé; great grandchildren, Kiersten and Jayden; sister, Mamie Mizelle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, February 12, 2016, at 2 pm at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Kimmer officiating. Memorial donations may be sent to the Southside Baptist Church building fund, 917 Carolina Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434. Jack's wishes were to be donated to the Virginia State Anatomical Program.
