J. Harvey Carr, 61, passed away January 13, 2012. He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of the late Golda Curry Carr Hargrave and Charlie Lee Carr. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during Vietnam. He later went on to work and retire as an automotive technician for the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Evans Carr; daughters, Kathleen Wall and husband, Dale of New Braunfels, TX, and Kimberly Carr of Suffolk; grandchildren, Aiden, Declan, and Brogan Wall; sisters, Cora Mathias of Suffolk, and Martha Richmond of Waskom, TX; and nieces, Mary Mathias, Lynn Melanson, and Tracy Rountree.

Friends may join the family for a time of fellowship Monday, January 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Open Door Church Fellowship Hall.
