Idell Wade Daniels, 81, passed away June 30, 2024.  She was born in Charlottesville, VA the daughter of the late Spurgeon Sears Wade and Mary Virginia Jones Maupin.  She grew up in Suffolk under the care of her aunt and uncle, Wesley and Doris White.  She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Edward Daniels, Sr.; daughter, Sheila Renee Hedgepeth, and sisters, Phyllis Hanzikitias, Mary Disney, and Doris Carr.  Idell was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church.  She was a former member of the Ladies of the Moose.

Idell is survived by her daughters, Julie H. Johnson (Thomas "Buck"), Kay Daniels, and Paula Daniels; sons, Danny Ray Hedgepeth, Jr. (Dana), and Frank Daniels, Jr.; grandchildren, Crystal Masters (Jeff), Denton Tyler Hedgepeth, Adysen Elizabeth Hedgepeth; great grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, and Hazel; sister, Shirley Wade; brothers, Spurgeon Eugene Wade (Chris), Raymond Lee Wade (Phyllis); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday July 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday afternoon from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
