Ida Pearl Potter Preece, 99, formerly of Suffolk, VA, passed away March 7, 2011. She was born in Letcher County, KY the daughter of the late Margie Dotson Potter and Manasseh John Potter. She was predeceased by her husband, Reaumur Carroll Preece and her son, Joseph Carroll Preece. She was a longtime faithful member of First Baptist Church of Suffolk, VA.

Ida is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Richard Angstadt of Denver, CO, Elaine and Joseph Norwood of Chapel Hill, NC; daughter-in-law, Lois Preece of Niota, TN; 6 grandchildren, Kathy and Gregory Angstadt, Derrick and Kevin Norwood, Matthew and David Preece; and 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating.
