Hunter Lee Selby, 63, passed away November 9, 2023.  He was born in Nansemond County, VA the son of the late Horace Hunter Selby and Audrey Dean Clements Selby Parr.  He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Susan Selby.  He was a master welder and sheet metalist owning his own business for many years.  His love of music came at an early age receiving his first guitar at 12.  Hunter played in many bands as lead guitarist and vocalist.  He also loved animals having rescued many over the years.

Hunter is survived by his wife of 40 years, Amy Howerton Selby; son, Nicholas Lee Selby; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen Howerton Shaw (Dean); and many other loving family members and friends.

The family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice for their compassion and comforting care Hunter received.

A Celebration of Life Service will be planned at a later date.  It will include a live band and all the people who loved Hunter.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope For Life Rescue or any other animal rescue.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
