Horace Michael Griffin, 61, passed away July 21, 2015. He was born in Petersburg, VA to Horace David Griffin, Jr. and the late Lillian Pauline Griffin. Mike worked as an operations technician at Unilever-Lipton. He was a member of Great Fork Baptist Church. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of Nansemond Hunt Club. He loved watching his grandchildren play ball.

Mike is survived by his wife of 19 years, Faith W. Griffin; sons and spouses, Jason M. Griffin and Sarah, Brian E. Griffin and Larry, George M. Best and Kelly, James L. Best and Melissa; grandchildren, Cullen, Lilith, Hannah, Barrett, Hailey, Hunter, Julianna; father, Horace David Griffin, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie P. and Roddy J. Manuel; brother and sister-in-law, David W. and Charlotte A. Griffin; and his loving pet Daisy.

A funeral will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dr. Donald Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 7-8 pm at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA, 23434. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society to find a cure for lung cancer at 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA, 23452.
