Hope Elizabeth Richmond beloved sister of Mary Ellen Richmond Filer died January 31, 2021.  Hope was born in Norfolk, Virginia on July 14, 1940 to Mary O. Richmond Ragland and Lynton (Gus) Hugh Richmond.

Hope received many awards for her exemplary work when she was employed by the Naval Station in Norfolk, Virginia.

Besides her sister Mary Ellen Filer, Hope will be missed by her cousin Barbara Weaver of Alexandria, Virginia and her nieces and nephews, Deborah Sue Filer Aldridge, Lyle Carlton Filer, Jr. (Lily), Cynthia Lou Filer Hewlett (Thomas), and Patricia Ellen Filer Heuberger (Wolfgang).

Hope is also survived by eleven great nieces and nephews and eleven great great nieces and nephews.

Hope loved dogs and birds and eating.  Her favorite food were barbecue (Virginia style), mashed potatoes and ice cream.  Whenever we called her on the phone she would always say, "I have to go eat my lunch now."  Hope never wanted to miss a meal.
