Hilda W. Vaughan, 91, of Cook Springs, AL passed away Feburary 12, 2011. She was born in Chowan Co., NC the daughter of the late Tallula Boyce White and Ekron Davis White. She was predeceased by her husband, Uriah Ernest Vaughan, Sr.; son, Uriah Ernest Vaughan, Jr.; grandson, Michael Vaughan; and seven brothers. Hilda retired from quality control after 23 years from Lipton Tea Company. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and was a charter member of the Ladies Ruritan Club in Holland, VA.
Hilda is survived by her son, Donald Ray Vaughan of Honolulu, HI; daughter-in-law, A. Faye Vaughan of Odenville, AL; grandchildren, Donna Vaughan, Donald Vaughan, Andrew Vaughan, Daphne Feltman, Lisa Parker and Julie Peterson; and 11 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Chapel with Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation prior to the service at Meadowbrook from noon to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association at P.O.
