Hilda Wilroy Duke, 105, of Suffolk, VA passed away January 12, 2008. She was born in Nansemond County the daughter of the late Lena Becker Wilroy and Abram E. Wilroy. She was also predeceased by her husband, Edgar Kemp Duke and her brother, Edgar Rex Wilroy.

Hilda attended Blackstone College in Blackstone, VA. She went on to teach and do clerical work after college. She was a resident of Hillcrest Retirement Center since 1992. Hilda was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Edward Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Oxford Methodist Church, 601 West Washington Street, Suffolk, VA 23434.
