Obituary

Henry Milligan Voigt, 88, of Smithfield, VA passed away January 5, 2009. He was born in Somerset, MD the son of the late William and Maggie Welsh Voigt. He was predeceased by his wife Margarite E. Voigt. Henry was a U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII. He retired as a service technician for R. L. Voigt Heating and Plumbing. He was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church and the Adult 1 Sunday School Class.

Henry is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Bogley of PA, Suzanne and Frederick Wernicke of FL, and Melinda and Jessie Garrott of PA; son and daughter-in-law, Bud and Patricia Voight of Smithfield, VA; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Carrollton Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Hess and grandson, Rev. Micah Voight officiating. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to Gideon Memorial Bibles at P. O. Box 1214, Suffolk, VA 23439-1214. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
