Henry O'Berry Scott, Jr., 77, of Suffolk, VA passed away July 17, 2017. He was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Henry O. and Estelle S. Scott. Henry served in the Air Force in the Strategic Air Command. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 32 years of service. Henry was a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church and he was a God fearing man. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his early years.

Henry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mable Layton Scott; daughter and son-in-law Paula Scott Marx and John J. Marx, Sr. of Suffolk, VA; grandsons, John J. Marx, Jr., James S. Marx; great granddaughter, Savannah G. Marx; several nephews; close cousin George Stubbs and loving caregiver Logan Masters.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Matt Winters officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 870 Greenbrier Circle, Green Tower II, Suite 404, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
