Henry Wesley Rountree, Jr., 85, passed away September 19, 2021.  He was born in Nansemond County, VA the son of the late Henry Wesley Rountree, Sr. and Christine Savage Rountree.  He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Sue Modlin Rountree.  Henry retired after 38 years from Smithfield Packing.

Henry is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas "Tom" Wesley Rountree (Melissa), Robert "Bobby" Henry Rountree (Valerie); grandchildren, Todd Ashley (Katelin), and Dakota Ashley; and brother, Thomas Savage Rountree.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
