Henry "Jimmie" James Whitley, Jr.,68, passed away July 4, 2012. He was born in Windsor, VA the son of the late Kathryn Carr Whitley and Henry "Nubby" James Whitley, Sr. He retired as a farmer and was a member of Colosse Baptist Church. He also served on the Board of Directors for Walter's Hunt Club.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy H. Whitley; daughters and son-in-law, Beth Whitley Hughes, Linda and Horace Miller; granddaughters, Whitley Miller, Lorber Miller, and Heather Hughes.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Tim Webb officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad at P.O.
