Helen Estelle Copeland Dotson, 79, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020. She was born in Nansemond Co, VA to the late Kenny and Laura Harrell Copeland. She is also predeceased by her husband, Rabon Lee Dotson; son, Donny Ray Dotson; and a sister and three brothers. She worked as a quality control inspector for Planters.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Sheila M. Daughtrey (Jonathan); sons, Mike Matthews, David Matthews and Kevin Dotson (Christine); stepchildren, Janet Blankenship (Ricky), Janice Toler (Ricky), Wanda Walls, Charles Dotson (Donna) and Rabon L. Dotson Jr. (Ann); 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Neville, Louise Holder and Carolyn Hankins; and brother, Joe Copeland.

Helen's funeral service will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Randy Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be limited to 50 people at a time on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 7-8:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at their residence.
