Harvey Edwin Russell, 69, of Suffolk, VA, passed away December 8, 2012. He is the son of the late Harvey Lee Russell and Ella Mae Holly Russell. Harvey was a veteran of the Virginia Army National Guard and a member of Providence United Methodist Church.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jackie G. Russell; sisters, Sarah Copeland and Shirley Deans; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon L. and Charlene Russell and Dalton and Moreen Russell; brothers-in-law and wives, T. Hayes and Joni Griffin and Kenneth E. and Cheryl Griffin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434, with Rev. Garland Hines and Rev. Chris Surber officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
