Harvey Merton Quimby, Jr., 69, of Suffolk, Virginia passed away February 25, 2007. He was born in Maryland the son of the late Mary E. D. and Harvey M. Quimby, Sr. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Rose Hudgins. He retired as owner and operator of Harvey's Lawncare. He was a member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge #141 where he served as a past Governor.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lena Elizabeth Mathias Quimby; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie A. and William R. Turner, Jr., Mary E. and Mark T. Smith all of Suffolk, VA, Peggy Sue and Ron Koestel of PA; step-daughter, Dorothy Brooks and her husband Ty; step-son, Charlie Mathias and his wife Diane all of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Mandy, Harvey, Brandy, Melvin, Ryan, Jennifer, Timmy, Kim, Scott, Jennifer, Laura, and Bud; great grandchildren, Connor, Reese, Kayla, Karly, Jacob, and Bryce; sisters, Norma L. Cornelius, Louise Merryman, Catherine Beatty, Doris Willis, Joan Fredericks; brothers, Paul and Earl Quimby.

A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery with Ashley Ellis officiating. Friends may join the family at Parr Funeral Home Tuesday night from 7-8 p.m. and other times at the residence.
