Harvey W. Griggs, 84, left his Earthly life to join his wife amongst the angels on Thursday, February 9, 2017.  He was born on November 15, 1932 to Richard W. and Martha M. Griggs.  Harvey was predeceased in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Joyce; sister, Versenia; brothers, R.L., Aubrey, and Jack; granddaughter, Amy; and grandson, Michael.  He is survived by his sons, D. Barry (Liz), Terry (Virginia), H. Dennis (Kelly); daughters, Ivy, Cheryl, and Jean; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Roland; sisters, Martha, Bee (Jim), Joyce (Jerry), and Anita; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was a man with a heart of gold and was loved by anyone who spent time with him.  He loved to hunt, to fish, to play his guitar, and he could cook his "butt" off but most of all he loved his family more than anything else in the world.  He will be missed by all.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev.
