Harry William Custer, 82, of Suffolk, passed away May 10, 2014. He was born in Clinton, PA to the late George and Elizabeth Custer. Harry retired as an engineer from NAVELEX (Naval Electronic Systems Command) after 35 years of dedicated service. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Harry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois D. Custer; daughters, Debby Carr and Karen Gibson; sons, Eric Custer and Mark Custer; grandchildren, Patty, Elizabeth, Katherine, Jennifer, and Stephanie; seven great grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jack Heidler.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.
