Guy Delton Bunch, Sr., 79, passed away December 1, 2015. He was born in Edenton, NC to the late James and Willie Bunch. Guy retired from Planters Peanut after 38 years as an accountant. He then worked part-time for Compassion Healthcare for over 10 years. Guy was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee, deacon, usher, Finance Committee member, and in many other aspects of the church. He was a member of the Lee Jackson Sunday School Class, the H.A.C. Senior Group, and attended the Tuesday morning prayer breakfast.

Guy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Connie Canipe Bunch; Daughter, Tammy Bunch Garner and husband, Bob; Son, Guy D. Bunch, Jr. and wife, Regina; grandchildren, Jason Lightfoot and wife, Jennifer, Delton Bunch, III and fianceé, Angela Watts, and Ashley M. Garner and fiancé, Zack Balestino; great grandchildren, Sky, Briana, and Summer Lightfoot; brother-in-law, B.M. Canipe and wife, Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1637 Holland Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Tommy Speight officiating. Entombment will follow at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA, 23434.
