Grady Vance Moore, Sr. went to be with his Lord on January 22, 2016. He was born in North Carolina to the late Vance and Geneva Ward Moore. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a machinist from Newport News Shipbuilding. Grady was a member of Eureka Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and choir member. He was a member of Suffolk Moose Lodge #141.

Grady is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Perkins Moore; daughters Debbie Pittman and husband, Ronnie Bergholz, and Becky Veverka and husband Bob; son, Chuck Moore and wife, Teri; grandson, Adam Moore and wife Allie; and family friend, Carl Dorsey.

The funeral service will be held at Eureka Baptist Church in Corapeake, NC on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Mickey Willard and Pastor Michael Reilly officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. The visitation will be held at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr, Suffolk, VA on Sunday, January 24, from 2-4 pm and other times at Debbie's residence.
