Gloria Jean French, 67, of Suffolk, VA passed away May 3, 2008. A native of Mobile, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Gloria Jean McMillan. She retired after a career of working as a V.A. Nurse in Gulfport, Mississippi. Gloria was a member of First Baptist Church, the Ladies Sixty A Sunday School Class and the Senior Choir.

Gloria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Annice L. and Richard J. Kessler, Jr. of Suffolk; a son and daughter-in-law, Alan T. and Melanie A. French of D'Iberville, Mississippi; and grandchildren, Brett, Brooke, Kyle, Jacob and Landon.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Bryan J. Ray. The family will receive friends at the residence.
