Gloria Thanos "Dakos" Diakogianis,88, of Suffolk, Virginia passed away July 19, 2006. She was a native of Fitchburg, MA. She was a homemaker.

Gloria was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Norfolk, VA. She was the daughter of the late, Rena and Paul Thanos. She was also predeceased by her husband, Stamatios Diakogianis, her daughter, Flo Deem, a sister, Alice Thanos, and a brother, Charles P. Thanos.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George and Sofia M. Dakos of Suffolk, VA; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Deem and Alexander S. Dakos; brother and sister-in-law, John P. and Voula Thanos of Suffolk, VA.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home with Father Constantine Rogakos officiating. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family Friday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence of George and Sofia Dakos.
