Ginger Lois Matthews Pittman, 82, passed away November 9, 2018.  She was born in Portsmouth, VA the daughter of the late James Wright Matthews and Lillian Blanche Langdale Matthews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Fredric Pittman; sister, Nancy Myers; and brother, Jimmy Matthews.  Ginger retired as an administrative assistant from the City of Suffolk School Board.  She was a member of Windsor Baptist Church.

Ginger is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa K. Pulley (Jeffrey), Kim Bartholomew (Wayne), Donna Claud (Robie); special niece, Desiree Pittman Reid (Ricky); grandchildren and their spouses, Kay, Ali, Kayne, Mandy, Jennifer (Peter), Jesse, Matthew, Jamie (Stephen), Scarlett, and Amber; great grandchildren, Peyton, Jake, Pierceson, Gabriel, Skylar, Addisyn, and Griffin; brother and sister-in-law, Dale Matthews (Ann); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dr. Bryan Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Monday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department or Rescue Squad.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
