Gillette Holland Cobb, 81, of Suffolk passed away on June 13, 2010. A native of Drum Hill, NC she was the daughter of the late James Causey Holland and Rosa Ella Jones Holland. She was also predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Russell Tillson Cobb; her great grandchild, Danica Thompson and four brothers and five sisters. Gillette retired after many years of service as a paralegal for John D. Eure, Jr. and she also was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda C. and Whit Oliver; Janis C. and Mark Greene; Patsy C. and Randy Tew all of Suffolk; a son and daughter-in-law, R. Wayne and Kathy Jo H. Cobb of Zuni; four grandchildren: Kriston C. Thompson and husband C.J.; Russ Greene and wife, Allison; Kelsey Greene and Jacob Oliver; two great grandchildren, Justin and Christopher Thompson.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with Rev. Robert J. Parks, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation at the home of Patsy and Randy Tew.
