Gertrud Sophie Horstmann Pocklington, 91, passed away June 15, 2015. A native of Bremen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Herman Horstmann and Beta Lueders. She was predeceased by her husband Robert "Bob" Ray Pocklington of 66 years. Gertrud was a long time member of the Ocean Park Women's Club, loved ballroom dancing, gardening and wildlife.

Gertrud is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Leslie K. Peterfeso and Terry Peterfeso of Suffolk, VA, Wendy J. Parker and Dr. John Parker of Norfolk, VA and Heidi Raye P. Scheffler and Mitchell Scheffler of Va, Beach, VA; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
