Gerald Hope "Jerry" Parker, 64, passed away peacefully in his home December 25, 2011. He was born in Tarboro, NC and was predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Verlina Parker and brothers, Randy and Ronnie Parker.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Shirley Jernigan Parker; son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Aly Parker; granddaughters, Kyla and Velvet Parker all of Suffolk, VA; brother, Kenneth Parker of Mechanicsville, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery with Rev. Billy Presley officiating. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
