George Thomas Smith, Jr. (Junior), was born on November 29, 1935, and passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020.  He is predeceased by parents, George Thomas Smith, Sr. and Bessie Holland Smith; brother, Leroy Smith; sister, Helen Parks and grandson, Jonathan Derrick.

Junior is survived by his daughters, Shelby Derrick (Buddy), Sharon Wroten (Ray); their mother, Jean Macioci; sister, Betty Sightler; grandsons, Chris Derrick, Thomas (Aaron), Raymond (RA); special cousin, Ricky Holland; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved dog Taco.

In his spare time, you would always find him strumming the guitar and singing at home alone or whether at someone else's home or even on occasion, at church.

He retired from Elizabeth Manor Golf Course and in the time since his retirement, he enjoyed his family, church, and tinkering on whatever car he happened to have available at the time.

The family would like to thank Judy Chappell for being there and taking care of him for the past few years.
