George Lloyd Springston, 87, of Suffolk passed away on August 25, 2009. A native of Akron, Colorado, he was the son of the late William Castle Springston and Eva Gough Springston. He was also predeceased by his wife, Barbara Martha Pike Springston. George was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served in World War II. He went on to serve as a Merchant Seaman with the rank of Able Bodied Seaman.

He is survived by his daughter, Lorinda Springston of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Elan Howell and Krystyn Goodwin and two great grandchildren, Wesley Howell and Alexis Goodwin.

Services will be private. Interment will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.parrfuneralhome.com
