George Herbert Poffenberger Sr., 94, of Virginia Beach, died May 25th, 2023. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late George Leo Poffenberger and Kathleen Langrall Poffenberger. He served in the US Army and got his accounting degree from Richmond College. He was a lifelong resident in the Tidewater area and in the insurance business since 1959. He is survived by his many family members and friends, and will be surely missed. A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
