George Marion Foster, 88, of Suffolk, VA passed away on June 19, 2012. A native of Little Rock, AR, he was the son of the late George Tilson and Minnie Daisy Foster. He was also predeceased by his wife, Margaret Ellen Foster, his son-in-law Dennis Worthington and one great grandchild, Mickayla. George served in the U. S. Army during World War II and later retired from working in a pet supply warehouse. He was a member of the Celebration Christian Church, and was a member of the Suffolk Chapter of the D.A.V.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law: Alice C. Worthington of Suffolk and Belinda J. and Michael Adkins of Kennett Square, PA; a son and daughter-in-law Steven L. and Pamela Foster of Amelia, VA; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Minister Kirk Dice officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
