George Richard Betts, 65, passed away April 25, 2022.  He was born in Alexandria, VA the son of the late George Elmer Betts and Callie Louise Johnson Betts.  George retired as a Mechanical Engineer from Huntington Ingalls Industries.  He was a member of New Creation United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of the Beachcombers Corvette Club and the Hampton Roads Corvette Club.

George is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda Elaine Snedden Betts; sons, Michael Allen Betts and Andrew George Betts; sister, Patricia B. Ryan (David); and brother, John Betts.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at New Creation United Methodist Church, 4320 Bruce Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23321 with Pastor Randy Duncan and Pastor Spencer Black officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Creation United Methodist Church.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
