Gary Lewis Umphlette, 61, of Windsor, VA passed away March 28, 2010. He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of Rose Tyler Hughes and the late Harry Lewis Umphlette. Gary retired as a clerk with the Southern Food Store.

Gary is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Umphlette of Windsor; mother, Rose T. Hughes of Suffolk; daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Dale Carter, Patricia A. and George Copeland of both of Gates Co., NC; step sons, Brandon S. and Jason A. Yanna of Franklin, VA; grandchildren, Melissa, George Jr., and Haley Copeland.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Don Milner officiating. Friends may join the family other times at the residence.
