Gary Lee Herto, 83, passed away September 6, 2024.  He was born in Reedsville, PA the son of the late Clay Budd Herto and Mary Ruth Bumgardner Herto.  He was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Dale Herto.  Gary retired as a truck driver for Blair Brothers.  He was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church.  Gary loved being a Pappy to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rose Ann Wagner Herto; daughter, Jeri Lyn Yarnell; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan Lee Herto (Joan) and Richard K. Herto (Bonnie); grandchildren, Michele Gelbaugh, Jennifer Martin, Kristen Herto, and Adam Herto; and great grandchildren, Zachary Bryant, Jonathan Hayes, Jeremiah Martin.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 4 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Brandon Nichols and Pastor Mike Harrington officiating.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 3-4 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Salem Cemetery in Milroy, PA on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
