Gary Thomas Baines, 54, passed away January 13, 2014. He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of Nancy Duke Baines and the late Raymond Thomas "Tommy" Baines. He worked for Jackson Real Estate Company. Gary owned the band "32 South" and was its drummer and lead singer. He also played for numerous other bands throughout Suffolk and Hampton Roads. He was a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church and the Suffolk Moose Lodge #141.

Gary is survived by his wife, of 21 years, Lisa Diane Baines; mother, Nancy D. Baines; daughter, Charlene Barnes (Stephen); sons, Keith Tadlock Baines (Amie), Christopher Thomas Baines (Ashley), Timothy Baines (Candy), Joseph Andrew Baines (Jennifer); grandchildren, Emily, Maicey, Alayna, Daron, Ashlin, Dillon, Jessa, Jarrett, Jacob Thomas, Addie, and Kenzie.

A funeral service will be Friday, January 17, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Cypress Chapel Christian Church with Chaplain Richard Moon and Rev. Chris Surber officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation Thursday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
