Gail Madeleine Taylor, 54, of Virginia Beach passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, April 15, 2012.
She was born in Lakewood, New Jersey on December 12, 1957 to Helen and Carl Pancer. Gail was a graduate of Lakewood High School and St. Leo University.
Gail was a beloved member of the Princess Anne High School family working as a Distance Learning Educator for many years where she was honored with the Virginia Beach Teacher Assistant of the Year Award three times. She also worked as a Senior Tax Advisor for H & R Block for the last twelve years. She was an active volunteer with Susan G Komen for the Cure. She never met anyone that was not an immediate friend, and for that, she will be missed around town.
Gail is survived by her four children; Theresa Monroe and husband Brian of Gates, North Carolina, Billy Taylor and wife Elizabeth, Kevin Taylor and wife Alicia, Antonia "Missy" Christianson and husband James, all of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Gail also has eight beloved grandchildren along with the extended family she chose as her own, including Marcella and Dan Williams of Hampton, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen Feder Pancer and Carl Pancer of Lakewood, New Jersey and Brother Stuart I. Pancer also of Lakewood.
An open house celebration of Gail Taylor's life will be held on Thursday, April 19 at 6:00pm at Sweetwater Cuisine. 4216 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Virginia Beach. Her children welcome loved ones to rejoice in her life rather than mourn their loss. In lieu of flowers please honor her by giving to one of her favorite charities, Komen for the Cure.
