Gail Ellen Patty Gentry, 63, passed away February 11, 2024.  She was born in St. Mary's County, MD the daughter of the late Will Turner Patty and Ocey Mae McClenney Patty.  Ellen worked for over 20 years as the deli clerk at Whaleyville Food Mart.  She never met a stranger and enjoyed good conversation and serving others.

Ellen is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael Gentry, Jr.; daughter, Diana Jo King and husband, James King; grandchildren, William, Garrison, Aaron Paul, Micah, Ya'el, and Christopher; siblings, Bonny, Darlene,  Elaine, Beverly, Carolina, Nellie, Gene, Wayne, and Ron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
