Frederick Luther Bunner, 89, passed away August 31, 2025.  He was born in Washington, Pennsylvania the son of the late Frederick Savor Bunner and Thelma Cahill Bunner.  He was predeceased by one sister and four brothers.  Fred was a United States Navy veteran.  He later went on to work and then retired as a planner and estimator for Norfolk Naval Housing.  After retirement, he went into fulltime ministry.  He was a member of Suffolk Church of Christ.

Fred is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wanda Lee Steele Bunner; daughters, Carolyn E. Cagle (Donnie), Valorie K. Baker (Jeremy); son, Stephen J. Bunner (Tara); grandchildren, Emerson, Ethan, Madison, and Isaac; great grandchild, Eleanor; twin brother, Franklin Palmer Bunner, brother, Jimmy Bunner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with good friend, George Yacus officiating.  A time of visitation will follow the service.  A private burial with military honors will be held at a later date at Albert G.
