Frank Morris Kelly, Sr., 88, of Suffolk, VA passed away February 24, 2013. Frank graduated from Chuckatuck High School in 1941. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as the Superintendent of the Non-Destructive Testing Division after 43 years of service at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. After retirement, Frank continued his hobby and worked as a repairman for Mike's Train Land. He was a member of Suffolk Christian Church, the Suffolk Elks Lodge 685, the Virginia Train Collector's, the National Train Collector's Association, the Toy Train Operating Society, and the American Legion.

Frank had many interests that he shared with his friends and family. He enjoyed taking trips to train shows in the Road Master and driving his tractor around tending to his garden. His love for food led him to various festivals and local dining establishments like Bunny's and Clayton's. He had many friends who loved to sit with him for hours to talk and tell jokes. If you ever met Frank Kelly, you would know "what's what".

Frank was the son of the late Jack Hulda Kelly and Ruby Moody Kelly. He was also predeceased by his wife, Jeanette Harrell Kelly; sisters, Faye K. Goddin and Hulda K. Knight; and brother, John H. Kelly.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail K. Cottrell; son, F. Morris Kelly, Jr.; granddaughters, E. Corinne Bristow and husband, Stephen, and Cristen S. Cottrell; sisters, Dorothy "Sue" K. Parr and Betty Jean K. Odom; brother, Clyde E. Kelly, Sr.; son-in-law, Jeffrey Cottrell; and special friends, Marlene Ilapit and Amanda Laster.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Suffolk Christian Church, 216 N. Main St., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Michael D. Halley and Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. A reception celebrating Frank's life will be held after the service in the reception hall followed by entombment at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434.
