Frances Joyce Davis, 83, of Smithfield, VA passed away January 14, 2010. She was born in Horry County, SC the daughter of the late, Norton Evan Strickland and Mamie Lee Strickland. She was predeceased by her husband, Jobie Daniel Davis, Sr. and grandson, Jay Turner. She formerly worked as a self-employed hairdresser.

Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Francine and Charles Price of Smithfield, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry G. and Lynda Turner of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tom and Liz Turner of Smithfield, VA; grandchildren, Jeri Lyne Webb, Kimberly Newsome, Natalie Hedgecock, Adam Price, and Lee Gosselin; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Memorial Park, Smithfield, VA with Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating. Friends may join the family Friday night from 6-7 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 for a time of visitation.
