Forrest Wayne Spivey, 74, passed away January 21, 2020.  He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of the late Joseph Vernon Spivey and Cornelia Privott Spivey.  Wayne retired from working in the Human Resources Department at Newport News Shipyard.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Suffolk, VA.

Wayne is survived by numerous friends and extended family; along with his caretaker, Bridget Wick and her husband, Scott; and their children, Abbriana and Marissa.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Charles W. Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Friends may also join the family one hour prior to the service from 1 - 2 p.m. for a time of visitation at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
