Floyd Laverne Wescott, Jr., 76, of Windsor, VA passed away on June 12, 2008, peacefully in his sleep after a battle with cancer. Floyd was a native of Freeport, IL, and the son of the late Floyd L. Wescott, Sr. and Siama Saario Wescott. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a Building Material Salesman at Windsor Supply Co.

He is survived by his daughters: Cheryl A. Scott and her husband Douglas J. Scott of Holderness, NH; Debra L. Zerfas and her husband David Zerfas of Orlando, FL and Leslie M. Pritchard and her husband Rodney Pritchard of Fort White, FL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his sisters, Dorthy Shunberger and her husband Glenn Shunberger of IL and Geraldine Wescott-Garro of Dubugue, IO; his beloved dog Ginger, and good friends Bill and Sue Nowell.

A funeral service, with military honors, will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, Va.
