Fletcher "Missie" Miriam Thacker Greenwood, 95, passed away August 30, 2022.  She was born in Smithfield, VA the daughter of the late Miriam Amelia Batten Thacker and Herbert Marsben Thacker.  She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Oliver Chaffin Greenwood, Sr. and her siblings, Rachel T. Joyner, Florine T. Joyner, James W. Thacker, Sr., H. Lee Thacker, Ralph W. Thacker, and E. Crouch Thacker.

Missie is survived by her son, Oliver Chaffin Greenwood, Jr. and wife, Diane; granddaughter, Stephanie Murdock and husband, Jack; sisters, Helen T. Johnson and Bettye T. Drake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev.
