Felton Lee Taylor, 58, of Gates, NC passed away August 30, 2009. He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Upton Taylor and J.D. Taylor. He was predeceased by his first wife of 25 years, Katherine Marie Pippins Taylor. Felton was a United States Army veteran. He worked as a truck driver for Wilkins Trucking Company.

Felton is survived by his wife of 8 years, Debra Kay Taylor of Gates, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Marie Taylor Stepp and John I. Stepp of Windsor, VA; step sons, Romie Michael Williams of Georgia, Thomas Joseph Williams of Portsmouth, VA; grandchild, Alyssa M. Stepp; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Tony Herring of Eure, NC, Lynn and Jeff Bateman of Portsmouth, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Anntoinette Taylor, Johnny and Peggy Taylor both of Suffolk, VA; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 6 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with the Rev. Dr. Jay Slater officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
