Felix Thornton Jennings, 82, of Suffolk, VA passed away December 22, 2011. He was born in Natalie, VA the son of the late James William Jennings and Mary Wade Jennings. He retired as a Foreman for Bridge and Building from Norfolk Western Railroad. He was a member of Suffolk Church of Christ.
Felix is survived by his wife of 23 years, Norma Cox Jennings; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Hunsucker (Samuel) of Norfolk, Linda Christman (Charles Edward) of Portsmouth, Kathryn Jacquin of Brookneal, VA; step children and spouses, Betty Ruth Speight (Donald), Leonard Cox, Jr. (Suzanne), Deborah Chavis (Harry) all of Suffolk; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Thomas of Chesapeake; Margaret Spence of IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 12 noon at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Fred Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation prior to the funeral service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.
