Fay Baines Barrett, 81, of Wakefield, VA passed away on May 7, 2008. A native of Suffolk, VA she was the daughter of the late Jasper Ernest Baines, Sr. and Virginia Alice Vaughan and was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Fay Barrett. She attended Antioch Church in Windsor. Fay was a homemaker with her main focus in life being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was especially proud of being a great grandmother. She was an avid fox hunter and her dogs were very special to her.

Fay is survived by her husband of 59 years, Maple T. Barrett, Sr.; her daughter, Dianna Sue Cash; her son, Maple T. "Bubba" Barrett, Jr.; five grandchildren, Abbi, Sarah and Heather Barrett and Matthew Cash and Bonnie Blaylock; three great grandchildren, Noah, Lucas and Colie.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Church, Windsor, VA with Rev. Michael Halley, officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family Friday evening from 7 - 8 p.m. for visitation at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk.
