Evelyn Townsend Walls, 81, of Smithfield, VA passed away November 6, 2007. She was born in Danville, VA the daughter of the late Gus Corbin Townsend and Sallie Scearce Townsend. She retired from Dan River Mills and was a member of Grace-Design United Methodist Church in Danville, VA.

Evelyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Judy Walls of Smithfield, VA; grandchildren, David and Emily Walls, and Daryl and Megan Walls; great grandchildren, Andrew and Amanda Walls, and Kathryn Walls; sister, Ruby Finch of Danville, VA.

Friends may join the family Friday, November 9, 2007 at Wrenn-Yeattes Funeral Home in Danville, VA from 11 a.m. to 12 noon for a time of visitation.
