Evelyn "Na Naw" Bryant Baines, 86, of Suffolk, VA passed away April 16, 2014.  She was born in Southampton County, VA to the late Thad J. and Ellen Saunders Bryant.  She is also predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Baines Birkel.  Evelyn retired after 33 years as a Secretary from the Right of Way Dept. at VDOT.  She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise B. and Mitchell "Bud" Adams; grandchildren, Kimberly McClanahan and husband, Adam, and Wesley S. Adams; great grandchildren, Mason Oldfield, Noah McClanahan, and Adrianna Adams.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery, Main St., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Michael D.
