Eunice Mathias Carr, 84, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on January 23, 2022.  She was born in Corapeake, NC the daughter of the late Louis Powell Mathias and Erma Lee Polson Mathias.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Ivan Rae Carr; brother, Louis Mathias, Jr. and sister, Margaret Dale.  She was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church and was a former member of the Pembroke Garden Club.

Eunice is survived by her daughter, Tracey Lynn Carr (Scott Halsey); sons, Michael Rae Carr (Meri Beth), Paul Douglas Carr (Stephanie); grandchildren, Justin Michael, Ross Hunter, and Merideth Brice; and dear friends Patsy Hall and Treena Leigh Riddick.

Eunice was the most devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was a wonderful friend and neighbor to many.   She was very proud of the life and family she and Ivan created.   Her family will continue to honor her loving legacy by living their lives to the fullest.  While she will be greatly missed, her love will endure.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Burt Pearce officiating.  A private burial will be at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
