Eugenia Bowman Depriest's Obituary
Eugenia "Genia" Bowman DePriest, 51, passed away July 6, 2008. She was the daughter of Pete Bowman and the late Elton and Dena Futrell.
She is survived by two sisters, Teresia Thorne of Elberon, VA and Juanita Howard of Hertford, NC; four brothers, Ricky Norris of Roseboro, NC, Larry Futrell of Hueytown, AL, Tommy Bowman of Elizabeth City, NC and Reed Bowman of Suffolk, VA ; her daughters, Christina Lynch of Gastonia, NC and Shannon Scott of Emporia, VA; six grandchildren, Trey and Alex Lynch, Jessi Taylor Johnson, Taylor, Brianna and Jordan Scott; husband of 18 years, Pete DePriest and her dear friend and companion, Ricky Adams.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with the Rev. Wayne Sawyer and the Rev. Kate Truan officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
